Velvet Aluminum Urn

Deep burgundy with a velvety, speckled finish, the Velvet Aluminum Urn has a richness that feels warm and comforting. Silver-tone accents at the lid and base frame the color beautifully.

The aluminum construction is lightweight yet strong, a practical choice if the urn may travel or be moved between family homes.

Make it personal with engraving on the urn (up to 135 characters), or choose an engraved medallion nameplate or wood base, all available as options on this page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Velvet Aluminum Urn big enough for an adult?

For most adults, yes. Using the one-cubic-inch-per-pound rule funeral homes follow, its 228 cubic inch capacity suits someone up to roughly 228 lbs.

Will this urn pass airport security?

Metal urns are often too dense for TSA X-ray screening, and officers will not open the container. If you plan to fly, consider carrying the remains in a temporary container and moving them into this urn once you arrive.

How should I clean the Velvet Aluminum Urn?

A soft microfiber cloth is all it needs. Skip polishes and household cleaners, and keep it out of damp areas to protect the finish.

When will my order ship?

Place your order before 1:00 PM CST on a weekday and it ships the same business day. Engraved orders ship the same day once the proof is approved by 1:00 PM CST, and anything completed later ships the next business day. We are open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
